FIRST A WARNING. THIS IS A FREE SITE AND IT AUTOMATICALLY SETS UP ADVERTISING TO KEY WORDS. IF YOU CLICK ON ONE OF THE BOLD PRINTED, UNDERLINED WORDS IT WILL TAKE YOU TO AN ADVERTISEMENT. THIS IS NOT A RECOMMENDATION BY MYSELF OR THE VBCPS SYSTEM.

I know that many of you are beginning to worry about whether or not your student is going to have all the SOL credits needed for graduation this spring. To help you prepare him/her to take or retake SOLs we have tutors available during the day and several afternoons each week. It is very sad to have a student not graduate because he/she did not pass an SOL, but it is even worse when it is because he/she did not take advantage of all the help that is offered. Please feel free to contact me about scheduling tutoring NOW so that we can help your student prepare for SOLs that are needed for graduation.

The next round of End-Of-Couse (EOC) testing is May 12th through 24th and the schedule is now under PAGES on the right. All parents will want to review this schedule. Letters were given to studnets in class to let  them know what SOLs they are eligible to retake. Calendars were distributed in class to students who are in a course that requires an accompanying SOL for that course. It is a good idea to ask your student about his/her testing schedule and to watch the mail for letters and notices from the school.

I hope that you will make use of the links that are posted for your use in preparing yourself or your student to take the next round of SOL tests.

Parents, as you are aware the Open Campus class schedule is quite different from that of the traditional high schools in Virginia Beach and therefore our testing schedule is also different. Please visit the calendar page for the schedule of up-coming tests.
